Shannon and Carey put their cold weather excursion expertise to use guiding fun and invigorating winter SUP tours on the Hudson for the Manhattan Kayak Company.
Shannon and Carey joined Eric Stiller, owner of the Manhattan Kayak Company, last weekend to teach an in-depth SUP workshop at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. The placid lake waters offered an ideal classroom for beginner students to advance and hone their paddling skills, practice yoga and meditation on the board, discuss topics such as safety, equipment, and water conditions, and reconnect to the natural environment.
The SUPLOGIX team entered the BoatUS 2015 Innovations in Life Jacket Design Competition. Our design, the Infinity Vest, features a modular system that combines hydration and flotation into one comfortable unit. We were one of 14 entries out of 250 original submissions to be chosen for the public voting round.

SUPLOGIX had a successful fall 2013 semester introducing stand up paddle boarding to Rutgers staff and students in the first ever SUP program at the university. After a great beginning SUPLOGIX, working with the Outdoor Recreation Department, plans to expand the program. Spring semester 2014 will offer both indoor and outdoor instruction, workshops, and SUP touring adventures.
